Found in an exceptionally limited geological region of Siberia, Charoite is a complex silicate mineral whose unusual structure gives polished material its characteristic swirling, silky appearance.

Its feathery patterns have always reminded me of a violet sister to Seraphinite — stones that visually seem to speak the same language of wings, movement, and the celestial realms.

Energetically, I associate Charoite with the transpersonal chakras above the Crown, particularly the Soul Star and Stellar Gateway. It is a stone of cosmic consciousness, spiritual transformation, intuition, and energetic sovereignty.

Gemological studies of sunstone from the Arusha region have documented reflective hematite platelets as the source of this extraordinary sparkle. There could also be copper or other metals held within the stone. Its magic is the light reflected from within.
